Each facility gate is secured with a Bluetooth-enabled smart padlock. Instead of a shared code, every visit is authorized individually, through one of two paths:
Standing Access
Accounts for staff and regularly-returning vendors are set up in advance. Once on-site, they unlock the bluetooth-enabled lock using an iOS or Android app. No shared codes, no lost keys, no waiting.
Temporary access
First-time visitors scan a QR code posted at the gate, which opens a short request form on their phone. After submitting their name, company, and a quick photo verification, they receive a one-time access code by text — valid only for that visit.
Scanning the code on the back of the lock opens a pre-filled text message; no app download or account is required to request access.
- Accountability. Every access request is tied to a named individual, with a photo and timestamp on file.
- No manual re-keying. Ending someone’s access is immediate, not a maintenance project.
- Audit-ready records. Facility access history is available on request, supporting board oversight and regulatory review.
